It’s pretty amazing to see glimpses of the origins of the show to what it is now. Makes me wonder if I love the Doctor enough to go back and watch some of the older shows. I did it for Star Trek because I wanted to learn more about the TOS universe. Also, I didn’t seem to have the same problem of getting over the campy effects, the heavy handed narratives and Shatner’s…terrible…act…ing as everyone else I convinced to watch with me. Of course, that could have been because of my giant nerd crush on Nimoy but he’s a GQMF so back away quietly without judging.
Maybe someday I will watch the old episodes and image that ST/DW mash up RTD wanted to make. Can you imagine the kind of shit Spock would have to get both Kirk and the Doctor out of? “Doctor that is highly illogical, time is not wibbly wobbly!”
